Learning Sharing. 4 Ways LinkedIn Had a Positive Impact.

❌Spoiler Alert: Number 1 is not really about career.

Hello busy leader. Here is a sharing from my journey where LinkedIn as an online platform had a role. I hope my story and learnings help you, your career or online business in a way, shape or form, too.

Here are 4 ways LinkedIn Had a Positive Impact on My Career Journey:

✅4. Unexpected Beginnings
 
- 12+ years ago, a colleague shared an expat job opportunity. A talent scout found her profile online. And she generously shared it with me. (#grateful)

- I moved to Munich for my 1st expat role. LinkedIn played a role in that.
 
✅3. Navigating Challenges

- I was impacted by a re-organization in Munich. The office I moved to was closed. A challenging and unexpected situation.

- #LinkedIn helped me find my next role in Munich. (With support from my Munich team and my two LMs. Cheers if you are reading.)

PS: If you are impacted by a reorganization, I see you. It is a challenging situation, and it will pass with many learnings on the way.

✅2. Meaningful Connections

- The first clients came through my ex-network or friends when I launched my coaching and consulting services.

- After being active on LinkedIn, more diverse opportunities started appearing.

 ✅1. Coffee:) Connecting People

- Recently, LinkedIn gifted me meaningful chats, encouraging messages, and virtual coffees with ex-colleagues or friends in unexpected ways.

- And it introduced me to new, inspiring people in Switzerland and beyond from diverse industries.

LinkedIn literally helped change my journey.

If you are starting new, here are two experiences to encourage you:

- Number 4 happened with just 500-600 connections. Starting is a key part of the journey. Don`t only focus on numbers.
 
- I am not yet in flow when sharing consistently on LinkedIn, although I have led digital communications and marketing campaigns for diverse brands for almost two decades globally.
